cookies & tracking

For people leaving comments, this page uses cookies to make sure you have a smooth experience. You can read more about how and what on the WordPress page. These cookies are completely harmless. Since commenting potentially leaves content on the website, your ip is stored securely on the server along with your comment. Your ip is of course not disclosed to anyone.

I also use Piwik to track who visits the site. This is only for my own amusement. This tracking only stores part of your ip, in particular a very harmless part, which does not identify you. It just identifies which country you are in. Should you not want to be tracked, that is perfectly okay. Simply tell your browser through the “DoNotTrack” option that you do not wish websites to track your visit. Not all websites respect this, however this one does. If you want to stop all such scripts, I recomend browser add-ons like “Ghostery”.
